Can You Do My Hair Every Day?

Alyx did a few more styles on my hair tonight. I seriously don't know how she does it. Each one only takes her a few minutes and she makes my hair look so good every time! I wish she could come and do my hair every day. 

Looking Handsome

Jack came in for a haircut tonight. Also, he let me wax his nose and eyebrows, ha ha ha!  It's funny to look back 6 months ago to when I started hair and see how far I've already come. We got him all cleaned up and looking good for a job interview he has later this week. I am so stinkin' proud of this guy. He works so hard and does so much for us. 

Getting Organized

I will be the first to say... our pantry can be a scary place sometimes. We tend to grab stuff and then just throw it back in where ever there is a space. Today we decided to organize it after we got our grocery shopping done. Jack and I worked on it together and it was finished in no time. It looked SO much better! We decided it was worth celebrating with tacos. I think we're both Mexican at heart, ha ha. 

One Year Old

Today was the twins actual birthday! I took the day off so I could go down and play with them. Heather and I hung out with them until Eric and Jackson got off work. Then we all went to Cracker Barrel so the twins could enjoy some REAL Mac n' Cheese for their 1st Birthday!!! What a fun day. These guys have made life so much more bright and fun. I sure do love them.

The Day of Love

Jackson made this Valentine's Day special. I was surprised to receive flowers at work! It was so sweet. Later that night, we went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse (one of our favorites). It was delicious as always. I know a lot of people don't like Valentine's Day... but I do. I think it's a fun time to celebrate what you have together. However, I still think it's important to show one another you love each other year round as well. 

Later that night we went and saw a Dog's Purpose (it made me cry) and grabbed a treat on the way home to top off the night. Overall, the day was a huge success.

Pick Me Ups

On the way home from school tonight, the song came on, "In Case You Didn't Know-Brett Young." Jackson shared it with me a bit ago. It's funny how just a simple song on the radio can make you feel loved and brighten your day.

Lazy Sunday

Today was a lazy kind of day. We woke up and went to church. Then we came home and headed over to Jack's family's house for lunch. It was fun to see them and hang out for a bit. This next week Jason and Amy are headed to Florida. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous, ha ha. So we're going to keep an eye on the boys while they're gone. After hanging out with his family, we headed home and turned on some Grey's Anatomy. I know we're years behind the craze... but we've gotten into watching it lately and really like it. It's so nice just to relax and spend some time with Jack. I sure love him. 

Birthday Party

It was Hadley and Easton's birthday party today. I cannot believe how fast this last year has gone. Their party was SO fun! Jackson and I got them some cute little outfits and a fun toy to play with. Watching them open their presents (sort of... more like play with the wrapping paper) was too cute. I love these guys more than I ever thought possible.

Why Not

Megan and David came over for a little while. It was fun to talk and catch up with everything. Time passed all too quick and before we realized, it was late and we hadn't eaten dinner yet. We ended up deciding to go to Applebee's. After a certain time, their appetizers are 1/2 off. So instead of getting actual meals, we just got that and split them all between us. It was so nice just to sit, talk, laugh, and have a good time with them.  They will be having a baby boy in May... so we figured why not do something spontaneous while we still could. 

New Friends

School has been somewhat tough lately. One of my best friends in the program dropped out a while ago and it has been extra hard since because I was close to her. Things have a way of always working themselves out though. Tonight I started talking more to a girl named Alyx. She's a cutie and also amazing at braids/hair styles. She asked if she could braid mine and let's be honest, I'm a sucker when it comes to playing with my hair. I absolutely LOVE it. So of course, I said yes. She did this cute style tonight.
While she was doing my hair, I had a walk in appointment. I got to do this cute A-Line. I was so excited to get home that night. It's always nice after a long day. Jackson has been so good to help me keep the apartment clean and stay up on all the little jobs since I've been doing night school.

One of Those Days

In being 100% honest, today was "one of those days." It was one of those days, where the mundane daily tasks seem like too much. One of those days where every person you talk to, you feel like you're on the verge of tears because you're just too overwhelmed. Those days where you question everything you're doing and wonder if it will all really be worth it in the end. I went to school and ended up having a long talk with Bekah (the director). She helped me to see things with a better perspective. I got embarrassed to go back into class since you could tell I had been crying so I ended up leaving a bit early. 

When I got home, Jackson took me on a drive. We ended up getting J Dawgs (they're delicious if you haven't tried them) and just talking about life. Sometimes it's good to just step back, take a deep breath, refocus, and then continue putting one foot in front of the other. Life can be a beautiful mess, but I know it's all worth it and I wouldn't have it any other way. 

The Super Bowl and 7 Layer Dip

Today we went to Kris's and watched the Super Bowl. I made some 7 Layer Dip. It was my first time making it and if I do say so myself, it was DELICIOUS. It's always good to get together and enjoy each other's company. We had a good time. 

Babysitting the Twins and the Baseball Banquet

We got to go and babysit my twin niece and nephew today. It was a BLAST. Always is. They are seriously just too cute. The age they are at right now is so stinkin' fun. There's honestly never a dull moment. After babysitting, we headed to Hayden's Taylorsville Baseball Banquet. Chad Hymas was the speaker this time and he was AMAZING. I had never heard of him before. His story is incredible and definitely gave me what I needed to keep going.
