Tacos, tacos, tacos...

Today Jackson and I spent most of our time looking for a laptop for me. We ended up getting an HP and I am loving it so far. It should make this whole blogging thing a lot easier. Afterwards, we decided we had worked hard enough to deserve tacos. ;) Since our missions, Jacks and I have both LOVED tacos. We still haven't found something that tastes exactly how it did while in our missions but this is about as close as it gets. Don't they look delicious? All I can say is that I will NEVER say no to tacos, ha ha.

A Sweet Surprise

Friday was a bit of a struggle to get through. So many things, including good and bad, had happened throughout the week. On this particular day however, it was more rough than smooth. I will never be able to explain the feeling when I looked up and saw these flowers with my name on them being delivered to the office. It changed my entire day and reminded me that no matter what happens, I have the things that I love and need most in my life such as family, friends, a good job, the gospel, and my cute hubby who knew just what I needed to cheer me up and remind me all is well. Such a simple act that had such a HUGE impact. Thank you Jacks! I love you!

Friday Flowers. Seriously, the BEST!

FINALLY, the wait is over!

So, one of the greatest things ever happened today. My sister Heather has been pregnant with twins since June. We have all been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the first grand babies in our family. Heather was scheduled to be induced last night (Feb. 16th) and they planned on her having the twins early on the 17th. She has made it a lot farther than most people that are having twins. She was 38 weeks along. I got news that she was going into labor and we all headed up to wait for them to be born. I waited for what seemed like eternity. FINALLY! They were born and we all got to go and meet them. To say they were adorable is a major understatement. Their names are Easton Michael Whittaker and Hadley Grace Whittaker. Easton weight 6 lbs 11 oz. and Hadley 6 lbs. 10 oz. Can you believe that?!? Seriously, the cutest things in the world. Good work sister!

The look on my face says it all. So happy to be an aunt to these cute babies!

Our First Valentine's Day

Jackson and I celebrated our first Valentine's Day together as a married couple this year. I was super pampered and got my nails done earlier in the day. I asked Jackson what he wanted and he said Texas Roadhouse for dinner. It was a good choice! So yummy. After dinner, we watched the dunk contest together. I was super upset that Aaron Gordon didn't win but it was still a blast to watch. All in all it was a great day! I am so happy I get to call this cute hubby my Valentine forever.

Midway Ice Castles

Tonight I surprised Jackson and took him on a surprise date. I wouldn't give him any hints other than we had never done it before. His guesses as to what we were doing were HILARIOUS! As we were driving to Midway he asked, "Are we staying the night here?? Do you have my stuff packed already? Ah, I'm so excited! This is gonna be so legit!" I was dying laughing and hoping he wasn't disappointed when it was just ice castles and then heading home. It was a good time.
I totally met Anna and Elsa.

The ice castles were awesome!
My cute date.

Awesome, no?

I was afraid they were going to fall on us, haha.

We grabbed some much needed hot cocoa and headed home for the night.

Gettin' Crafty

Lately, I've been getting my craft on, haha. Ever Since I found Wood Connection, Tai Pan, Rod Works, etc. decorating and crafts have become a small obsession of mine. I made these cute letters for Valentine's Day. I forgot to get a picture of the actual ones I did... so this will have to do. They turned out pretty cute aye?

It's the Simple Things

As I was driving home tonight, I looked up to see this. So pretty. It really is the simple things that can help you take a step back and appreciate life a little more.
