A Crazy Day

I have had nerves about this day for a long time. Today I took my test to pass CORE at Paul Mitchell. It basically means that I'm now out of the entry level class and will start transitioning to taking appointments on the floor. I have a written and practical exam. I had the day off work, so I decided to calm myself down, it would be a good day to go and get my hair touched up. Sharli (Skyler William's older sister) does my hair. She is HILARIOUS. I laugh so hard every time I go. It turned out awesome and helped me calm down for my test. Jackson kept saying I was stressing way too much. Turns out he was right... I passed with flying colors on both tests, ha ha. I figure all that stress helped me to prepare at least. I'm glad it's behind me! Oh, and after finishing my tests, I had to do my first haircut on a live model. I volunteered Jackson of course. ;)

Here's a silly picture of me getting my hair done. Does anyone
else love this filter on Snapchat as much as I do?

I think it turned out pretty good, don't you? :)

Aubrey's Baby Shower

I was able to go to Aubrey Beck's (Thompson's) baby shower today. I couldn't be more excited for her and Jackson! Aubrey has been one of my good friends since high school. We ran on track, sang in choir, and served on seminary council together. I will always consider her a dear friend of mine. We even both married a Jackson, ha ha. I can't wait to meet her adorable Baby Beau.

Christmas Decorations

I didn't waste any time this year! I had the day off, so I got busy. By the time Jackson got home, I had ALL of the Christmas decorating done. It's such a good feeling. I just try not to think about when I have to take it all down, ha ha. Later, we went down to Temple Square with some of our favorites, Katherine and Chris Reyes. (Katherine was my MTC companion, Hermana Kirkham.) It was so fun and so pretty! We couldn't have picked a better night to go. It was so warm, which is definitely a change since I'm accustomed to freezing my buns off every time we go to see the lights. Afterwards, we got some hot chocolate and then headed home to watch a Christmas classic, ELF.

Our little apartment.

We even ran into the Grinch.

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving, we headed up to Jackson's Grandma and Grandpa Mangelson's house. Sometimes it is still so hard to go since his Grandma Sandra passed away. There's just something that's missing as you walk in the door. Every time we visited we would hear, "Hello Jack. Hello Jenny. How are ya?" She is dearly missed. I know she is watching from above though.
We ate some yummy food and played some pool, as always. Jackson always beats me, but it's still fun anyways, ha ha.

Moana

Tonight we went to go and see the movie Moana. I really liked it! I could relate to her a lot because she loves the water SO much. As a kid, and even today, I never want to get out of the water! I love lakes, swimming, and especially, the ocean. It was fun to get out and watch a movie together.

You can tell Jackson really enjoyed the movie, ha ha.
